The Story Behind
The Cocoa Lady
From the heart of Ghana's cocoa heritage to bringing premium cocoa to the world

Born at CRIG
My story begins at the heart of Ghana's cocoa heritage—the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG). Born to parents who dedicated their careers to advancing Ghana's cocoa industry, I grew up in a community shaped by science, tradition, and a deep respect for the land.
Steeped in Cocoa Culture
From the school and library on the CRIG compound to afternoons spent exploring the experimental cocoa fields, my childhood was steeped in the culture of cocoa. I watched scientists perfect soil health, develop resilient cocoa varieties, and protect the crops that sustain millions of livelihoods.

Sweet Memories
Some of my sweetest memories are of breaking open ripe cocoa pods and savoring the fresh, tangy sweetness of the white pulp. These simple moments of joy connected me forever to the magic of cocoa.
The Heart of the Industry
Beyond these moments of joy, I witnessed the true heart of the industry—the farmers. I saw their devotion from planting to harvesting, their precision in sun-drying each bean, and their unwavering pride in producing cocoa of unmatched quality.

A Child of the Industry
As a child of the industry, I was supported by the Ghana Cocoa Board scholarship programme, created for families who dedicate their lives to cocoa. The industry nurtured me, educated me, and shaped my future.
A Meaningful Turn of Fate
In a meaningful turn of fate, I later married someone whose career also led him into the cocoa world. Together, we carry forward a multi-generational legacy of dedication to Ghana's cocoa excellence.
